Phil Woods is himself an amazing alto player and this tribute to Johnny Hodges is masterful. It is duo only with Jim McNeeley and each track is a joy to hear. I almost wore my first copy of this out and purchased another so that says something. The interplay between these two musicians is something else and all up it is a great CD. A very beautiful and great tribute to Hodges.
